Suggestions for packing
CHECKED BAG:
Bring ONE packed bag duffle bag (under 30 lbs) to check: NO WHEELS ON BAGS
CARRY ON BAG
Bring ONE small backpack for the plane that contains: travel packet, passport, visa, money, ID, medications (antibiotics and Rx), your emergency outfit, two blue/black ink pens, and anything else you need for the plane or airports.
REMINDERS
■ Keep it simple and pack lightly!
■ Pack one complete set of clothing and personal essentials in your backpack.
■ Bring only as much as YOU can carry.
■ Don’t take anything you cannot live without, as it might get lost or ruined.
■ All carry-on liquids must fit into a 1-qt Ziploc bag, and may not be more than 3oz
■ Dress in layers to stay comfortable on the plane and in airports.
■ Bring snacks, but do NOT put drinks in your carry on! (Purchase after security)

■ Hat with a brim (IMPORTANT neutral colors only - no red or orange)
■ 1 flashlight or headlamp with new batteries
■ Prescription meds in original containers
■ Photocopy of insurance card
■ Credit card for food at airports or emergencies
■ 2 refillable water bottles
■ Sunglasses
■ Sunscreen
■ Insect Repellent: non-aerosol bottle/wipes
■ Light bath towel: quick dry is best
■ Body wash/soap
■ Shampoo
■ Toothpaste
■ Feminine hygiene products
■ Other personal toiletry items
■ 2 lightweight long-sleeve shirts
■ 2 lightweight long pants

■ Comfort bag that contain saline nose drops, eye drops, rehydration packets, throat lozenges

■ Binoculars (for viewing wildlife)
■ Antibacterial wipes or gel
■ Washcloth (there are none there)
■ Water bottle cleansing tablets
■ Earplugs (plane or snoring roommate)
■ Lotion for dry skin
■ Vitamins/Vitamin C
■ Ziploc bags in various sizes (for protecting stuff from dirt/humidity/water)
■ Camera and equipment (extra battery, lens cleaner and tissue)
■ Neck pillow for the plane
■ Sheet or light blanket

■ An old t-shirt: Used by the Rangers to make ash bags while on patrol
■ 5-10 photos: Used to show your holidays, school or classrooms, favorite foods, your pets, snow, etc
